About the Role:
As our Neapolitan Pizza Chef, you will be responsible for executing authentic, wood-fired pizzas with precision and efficiency. You must have a deep understanding of dough fermentation, high-heat oven management, and the discipline required to maintain quality under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage traditional Neapolitan dough (mixing, proofing, fermentation).
- Hand-stretch pizzas to proper size and consistency.
- Operate and maintain a wood-fired or gas pizza oven (800-900°F range).
- Execute pizzas quickly while maintaining strict quality standards.
- Manage oven timing, rotation, and firing techniques.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe workstation.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff during high-volume service.
- Assist with prep, ordering, and inventory as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3+ years experience making Neapolitan-style pizza in a professional kitchen.
- Strong knowledge of dough hydration, fermentation, and flour types.
- Experience with wood-fired ovens strongly preferred.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure.
- High standards for cleanliness, organization, and consistency.
- Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
- Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.
